Spring Break
I didn’t do much over spring break except celebrate my birthday and others. On Saturday I went to my aunts house and we all hung out and did a puzzle for a while ( my grandma LOVES puzzles.) I went swimming a couple times, and just watched TV for what felt like centuries. I went to the mall a couple times and spent so much money. And to earn that money I did a lot of yard work. I had gone to a couple sleepovers, hung out with friends, and slept a lot. I wish I had gone somewhere but it was nice to just hang out around the house while everyone else worked.
Book Club Questions
The character that I’ve liked the best so far is Nate from “ One of us is back.” My reason for this is because I feel like I’m able to relate to how he feels throughout the book and like he’d give anything up to save someone he cares about. My least favorite character is probably Owen, because it seems like the way the author has written him is very violent.
The book striked me as original in a way. The book is based mainly on “ The Breakfast Club.” Yet the author changed A LOT of things. Mainly because it is centered more around a murder mystery, going through the life struggles of teens.
One of my friends, Maggie, enjoys romance books and so do I. Though this story isn’t a romance book technically, it talks about and goes through the struggles of relationships of teens, and friends. I think she’d enjoy reading this story.
If I had to trade places with any of the characters, it’d probably be Maeve. Though she isn’t my favorite character, she’s one of the smartest. I would like to see how it would be to live a day in her life, being the youngest, yet the smartest of the group.
I feel like I relate to Phoebe the most. When she went to a questioning meeting with a prisoner, who happened to be her friends ex, she was spotted by the friend on tv. Everyone was angry at her, even though she just wanted to make sure her friend was protected from the prisoner. I can relate to this because I feel like I get into misunderstandings with my friends often.
Reading this book has impacted my mood from time to time. When reading, and it’s timed reading and we have to stop, I sometimes zone out a lot when talking to people throughout the day because I’m just making theories inside my head.
I absolutely love the writing of this book. I’ve been learning new words practically everyday while reading, and I love how the author can describe exactly how a character feels at the moment. I also love how she describes the setting, it really helps me imagine how the scene looks, and feel how the character feels.
Book Club Update
!Spoilers for the book “One of us is back”!
I started on page 140, and ended on 158 today. In the chapter I started today, Nate is met with an “old friend” Jake at work. Nate ends up becoming infuriated from Jake making him feel guilty. Nate leaves before he can harm anyone, and shakes it off for dinner with his girlfriend. When she doesn’t reply to calls or messages, everyone assumes the worst. They end up going on a short trip to see if Jake had kidnapped her like they thought he had done to Phoebe. Though Browyn was fine, what is Jake planning? We’ll see later on.
Book Club
We’re starting book clubs in media lab, and the club i’m in is the fiction club with Maggie. I’m going to be reading the book ” One of us is back.” which is the third book of the series “One of us is lying.” I’ve really enjoyed reading this series so far, so i’m excited to be able to discuss it with someone else.

My cat, Chewy and Han
During July of 2020, we got two kittens which we named after Star Wars characters. The brown cat is named Chewbacca, and the white is named Hansolo. When we first got them, my dad set some ground rules. Don’t grab the cats from under the beds, don’t chase them, and if they want to get away don’t hold them back, and naturally i didn’t listen. I did all of the things he told me not to do, and now Chewy ( Chewbacca ) Is like a stuffed animal around me. Meanwhile Han just hates me. Earlier this year, My mom called Han the name Mo. And her reasoning was, ” He looks like a Mo,” She isn’t wrong though. I love my cats, but they need to be quiet while i’m sleeping.
Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab Book Review
I’ve been reading the series City of Ghosts, and I love it. I’m currently on the second book and no new characters have been introduced yet. During the story of City of Ghosts, Cassidy Blake is just a normal girl, with a ghost best friend! She just wants to sit back and relax from seeing ghosts everyday at school. Soon she is met with her parents telling her about a new show about their book, making them travel around the world with many ghosts. She faces many dangerous ghosts, and meets new people, will she ever get to relax?
My first post
Summer was crazy. I played volleyball, went swimming, and most importantly slept. During the summer I tried out some new art styles, which was a bit strange but fun. I hung out with friends a lot, and had some sleep overs. It was really exciting when some of my favorite shows second seasons were being announced. And yes I did binge watch every episode in one night. I was also able to see my baby cousin and babysit him.
Middle school has been chaotic, yet freeing. We’re more trusted this year, but some classes are still crazy. Some kids never changed over the summer, still funny and loud. I was also able to make some new friends this year, there are so many new kids. I swear lunch has gotten even more chaotic than last year. People are running literally everywhere. I made the volleyball team which was so exciting.
